I bought myself this unit, instead of 1000d. For a long time I chose between him 7d and 50d. 50d, no matter how its advantages are painted, is already outdated. The magnesium body as an advantage is doubtful, given that on the "so-called cheap plastic" 1000d I had the experience of shooting handheld MTO550, without any consequences. And the micro-adjustment of lenses - in a truncated form, is also preserved in 60d (adjustment for brightness and contrast - adjustment of peripheral illumination). 7d has a completely sealed case and a higher shooting speed, but for a non-professional it’s not important 5 frames or 8, and the problem of protection from water is solved by a large number of covers. For my money (35,000) I got a powerful device that meets all my requirements: high working ISO (up to 3200 is very acceptable quality), high shooting speed, a swivel screen (it became convenient to work with a mini tripod) and much more. Perfectly shoots landscapes, from 17-40L, passed the test of frost - minus 23, 6 hours on the street, as a result, the photographer refused, but not the device. The verdict - fully justifies its money and the status of a semi-professional camera! Everyone can see the pictures on my page.
