Review on πŸ’‘ Sylvania Lighting 78038 – High Efficiency Equivalent by Michael Clarke

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very nice color temperature

So you want to know what they look like, right? Go outside at 12 noon on a clear day and look at a blank piece of paper, now you know. I've tried the Hyperikon 3000K and they are amazing with a high color rendering index (90+) so the colors just pop. I tried 4000K which gives a dirty yellow which I don't like at all. I tried the 5000K which is good for the kitchen or garage but not for the bedroom. These 3500K bulbs are for people who don't like other color temperatures like me, it's a neutral color. CRI is only 80 but looks normal. In case you didn't know, a low CRI makes things look boring. I'm very sensitive to light due to headaches etc and I can tell you they don't flicker or give me a headache. In case you were wondering, the CFL has a CRI of 80 high. Currently LEDs can go as high as 95 and I would like them all to move to a high CRI in the interests of consumers. I think they would be close to perfect with a color rendering index of 90. So I hope this review will help you if you are not sure. Color is the color of the sun on your hand at noon, 5000K is NOT daylight as LED manufacturers describe. The problem is that LED manufacturers still don't have a consensus on standards and these 3500K bulbs are far too rare.
