For the price, you can't beat this machine. It's well done. The frame is made of aluminum, the handles are made of impact-resistant polymer plastic. I bought this unit after returning a very flimsy plastic folding handle from another manufacturer that cost almost $50. I was able to attach my Canon HF800R camcorder to this unit without a phone mount. Together with other add-on parts for light and sound. Amazing purchase for less than $30. I'm thinking of buying another device configured just for use with my HF800R.
