Full-size headphones/dp/B0013P3ZOES I've also been told that they are better than the M50s and much cheaper. Common sense says otherwise, but I used a pair of $7 JVC headphones from Walmart that were better than $50 skull candies when I was in high school, so I realized the price wasn't everything is β correlation far from near. 1:1 When people said they were BETTER, I trusted them. They literally have no bass - they play "sounds that mimic the sound of a bass but not what it sounds like" and as a result the bass is played "on the same channel/frequency" as everything else. When the bass breaks through it ruins everything by drowning it out and when it doesn't it's like it never existed and is completely lost. Vocals β not just music, just YouTube β reverberate and tinny. This is bad. Like a crappy laptop with bad speakers. Instead of a wider soundstage - the main argument for open versus closed headphones - I got a /worse/ experience than the speakers on my obviously under-equipped laptop. They were worse than my friend Sade's $12 gaming headset (which, mind you, had bass you could FEEL). And finally, the level of comfort is quite low. I wear headphones when I'm at the computer (because that's pretty much the only audio source I have) and I can't imagine wearing them for more than half an hour. They also seem VERY cheap compared to my current headphones. And to all of this you'll probably say the same thing I said before I bought it: Obviously!? They are HALF cheaper! What did you expect? And I would agree! The problem is that audiophile(s) TOLD me it was beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee and I have to disagree. I will return them when I have a chance. I've already ordered a pair of 58X Jubilees because right now I just wanted headphones that are better than my current pair, that aren't even in bad shape and don't need to be replaced, while they're under $250. Their "selling point" was that they had to be better than the $35-$120 headphones, and even if they were smaller than the Jubilees, they wouldn't cost $160 either. I got what I paid for and it's great. It's good*. But they're not as good as those $7 JVC headphones, they're not as good as the $40 wireless headphones I have, and they're not even as good as the Sades 12 gaming headset dollars that I have. They have no redemption value. This is my honest opinion.
