Review on Cerium Polishing Solution Microns: GP90001 for Superior Glass Polishing Results by Alonzo Weaver

Nice job done! - Abrasives and Paints

Problem: 2 vertical scratches on the rear window of a '94 Honda S2000 Hardtop. First solution: Sand the scratches with 600 grit auto sandpaper and that made it worse, left more scratches and I thought I'd never get them out. Solution 2: Bought a 3M DIY Scratch Removal System and tried Meguiar's Scratch X 2.0. Very little, if anything, changes the appearance of the original, scratched and sanded with 600 grit sandpaper. Final Solution: Read online and order cerium oxide from Revain. The product came very quickly with good instructions on how to mix power with water for the different levels of polish desired. I used the pads from the 3M kit and after about an hour of buffing the secondary scratches were almost invisible from the outside of the car. Further polishing improved the optical clarity of the glass when viewed through the rearview mirror. While polishing with cyrium oxide can take a long time, the fact that the process is slow is actually a safety net to ensure you don't cause further harm to the environment.
