Minimalist design and perfect fit for 15 " MacBook Pro

I bought this to replace a similar earlier Incase model that stood up to everyday use for about 7 years before the zipper broke This new bag has been improved in that the padding is slightly heavier around the perimeter of the computer compartment and the bag can now be looped over the handle of a suitcase to slide the handle of a suitcase in. This is a very nice and sleek design There are two separate zippered side pockets on the front, replacing a full-length pocket on the older model. This is a downside of the new design as the pockets are very narrow and don't expand like the older models, meaning they hold significantly less stuff. The pockets of the new bag hardly hold a battery charge. In addition, the shoulder belt no more padding. I replaced it with a strap from my old bag. I don't like that the D-rings that the strap snaps into are plastic instead of metal. However, in my old bag they were also plastic and have never let me down. I hope my luck holds up. The bag is stiffer than the previous one, mainly due to the extra padding making it smoother, but the black is lighter than the real black and less attractive in my opinion. It looks like it has faded in the sun. I'm still using an older 15" MacBook Pro (2014) and it fits very snugly, almost too snugly in my bag. A new 15" MacBook Pro that I'm looking to upgrade to have a slightly smaller footprint so i think it will fit perfectly.generally the bag is excellent albeit pricey.i have looked at some other brands that are about half the price but they all seem to be too big for trying to fit all brands of laptops. Please note that this bag is intentionally minimalistic. The main compartment fits a computer, a couple of papers and a thin book, but nothing else. It's more of a laptop sleeve with handles and a shoulder strap, just that, what I want.

Pros
  • There's something in that
Cons
  • sad box
