Review on πŸ”οΈ Optimized for Hiking: Osprey Hikelite 18 Backpack by Angel Serafini

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The most comfortable personal item sized backpack I've ever used but needed better organization

So first let me say that's why this bag only got 4 stars received, lies in the organization. They only give you 3 zipped compartments. The big, small one at the top can be big enough for a phone or glasses case, and the bottom one as a rain cover if you need to consider it at all. I understand that this is a holdall, but why not give us a large zipped compartment on the front where we can store some small items, or at least an inner zipped pocket that can be used for things like passports. The backpack is about the size of an item I have ever used. Its light weight and frame help carry a ton and add almost no weight. The waist straps are detachable and leave a clean look when removed. They can be used to attach gear or a hanging bottle. Travel is bigger than this bag and has the organization I crave. But that great frame is missing, so in the end I went with the Hike Lite. To help organize my bag a bit, I bought an Osprey UltraLight Zip Organizer and attached it to the top of the bag with a couple of clips (see my photos). ). This gave me a great opportunity to use the top of this bag and get everything out of the front pocket which caused it to sag and not look very nice when the pocket was empty. I will mainly use it for travel and very light hiking. I can carry 2 or 3 light jackets/hoodies or 1 heavy jacket with this setup. I hope this will be helpful to some others.
