If not, check. This device is nothing more than a textile cord wound into a spiral that is pulled into the handle. This device is not technologically unusual or unique, so you can simply use a rope attached to a bolt or threaded eyelet in the base of the camera. Build quality is good and the rope pulls into the device (we'll see durability in the future) but if you can afford a more expensive 90 degree rigid selfie stick I'd probably trade it in. The problem with this corded device is that you don't have control over an axis of motion (you're rocking the camera and it can hit things from above and below if you're not careful). A hard joystick could at least control the up and down movement alternation, if that makes sense. I'm keeping this device because if you're just going to take some cool shots, it's twenty bucks. But when I go on vacation or an important trip, I would go for a special and rigid selfie stick.
