Review on 🌟 Himalayan Glow White Salt Crystal Lamp - Natural Hand Crafted Salt Night Light with Neem Wooden Base, ETL Certified, Dimmer Switch, 5-7 LBS by Cory Spence

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Product madness vs. performance.

I've had a traditional pink salt lamp for many years and thought another wouldn't be so bad. At first I was impressed by the seller's affordable price ($10/recall date) for a natural color lamp. I found the price so good that I ordered two. This is where the plot thickens. The package arrived with a clear lack of airbags. The manufacturer placed each lamp in additional cardboard walls, wrapped them with tape and packed them with several bags of silica to protect them from moisture. The pink lamp was the same years ago when I bought it at the department store, so I guess times haven't changed much. However, there were two chunks of salt in an Amazon box that allowed internal movement, and only *one* airbag? Yes, a push-up shock absorber for all its volatile content. As a result, one whose crystal is thin and light will work. The second is 150% larger than the other. A rectangular block of salt with a very geometric shape is also attractive! Aside from not lighting up and worrying enough, it lights up and then goes off while plugged in. With a lamp I would give a completely different rating here, because theoretically one will work and the other will not. My informed opinion regarding my career in logistics is that Amazon has moved away from using tetrapaks and my lamps have taken more than a few jabs due to the changing content of dense sub-content. The heavier and larger suffered the most from the shock and had enough internal components moved around to render it useless before it got to work. Really a waste of product and overall value for me as a lamp is really worth $20 now.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and chunky
