Ideal for mounting on action cam

Used for my Sony HDR-AS15 action camera which is stored in a waterproof case (suitable for tripod mount). Simply attach it to the bottom edge of your bike helmet in front of your ear. Might cause a little discomfort there but makes you look less nerdy than if it were on your head. I still can't figure out what to use the hot shoe attachment for. I don't want to melt my helmet in a flash. I'm sure there are other scenarios where I can use this gadget for video or time-lapse photography.
