We bought these magnetic cabinet locks when our grandchildren came to visit. They are very easy to put on. Installation: Wipe the cabinets or drawers with alcohol first, and then install the magnetic lock. It is best to let them dry for at least 24 hours. The magnetic lock can be left open when you don't need it and locked when you need it. You can also screw them if you like. We hold the magnet opener over the hood so the kids don't get in the way. One thing I would suggest you do is don't let your kids or grandkids play with the magnet. Letters of the alphabet on the fridge if you have them installed because they can open locks.
