I have had this for the past month since I had to work at home on my laptop due to the coronavirus. My neck hurt from looking down and squinting. I also have an ergonomic red roller mouse that takes up a lot of space in the front. I really like this boner, it's a little cheaper at $45 than the Nulaxy at $54. I didn't find any of the rough or jagged edges that others have complained about. You have to use a bit of effort to push the pieces apart, but I think it's a big plus that it doesn't squirm or collapse. It's not that hard to extend. You just need to put some elbow grease in it. It worries me at first because of my carpal tunnel, but it's not ideal at all. It's stable. I love when I can flatten it down to a few inches so I can transport it to work when we start again. The bottom is also flat enough to rest a keyboard on. I love this product.
