Review on 📷 Altura Photo Viewfinder Eyepiece: 22mm Eye Cup Replacement for Nikon DSLR Cameras (D780, D750, D7100, and more) by Todd Calloway

This is a simple item that easily attaches to your camera. I think reviewing this eyepiece in this case has more to do with considering the desired result for your photographic experience than with the quality of the product itself. For those who like to block out peripheral objects and lighting when using the viewfinder, this is the type of eyepiece you need. I bought it for my Nikon D3300 and it works as expected. My only minor gripes are: 1) The eyepiece is large, which is great, but it can crop the screen when I'm using live view, as was the case with my D3300. The actual image of this eyepiece even shows that it crops the screen, so hopefully this won't come as a surprise to anyone. That way, when you review an image you've just taken or switch to video recording, your screen easily locks at the top without removing the eyepiece (which is easy to do). And 2) In my experience, this eyepiece doesn't have the snug fit it has had since I first bought it almost two years ago. This can become a problem when you carry your camera on its side or simply put it in your camera bag, as the eyepiece sometimes slips off. However, given the price, I don't mind buying a replacement if it becomes too cumbersome after two years of regular use. All in all I would recommend this eyepiece to anyone looking to go beyond the standard viewfinder.
