I've been using white nail pencils for years to lighten the free edge of my nails because I've had no luck polishing my nails. I used to buy them from Sally's store but they don't sell them anymore so I gave these a try. Unfortunately they are empty. For really good results with a white pencil, use it when your nails are slightly damp, apply white under your nails and coat the underside of your nail with an almost powdery white coat. The white material in these crayons is very waxy, not powdery, so if you run it under your nails (wet or dry) it won't leave any white at all. I tried sharpening them to see if the wax coating was just a temporary coating, but it wasn't. They just don't work. Damn.
