Review on Charles Hubert Paris 3973 G Collection Mechanical by Jesus Carlson

This is an attractive watch. Seems to be working fine. It's struck me, and it's not exactly a criticism, that Charles Hubert, Avalon, and Gotham watches all appear to use the same movement (internal movements) and case. Hubert watches have "Charles Hubert Paris" imprinted on the most prominent gears, not "Made in China" which you will see on a similar wheel in Gotham watches. Different brands seem to have some differences in their cases. I was disappointed that the lid didn't open a full 90 degrees. I can't see it as well as I would like. The winding feel and ticking sound indicate that this is a mid-range watch and not a high-end watch. Under these conditions, I'm happy with it. UPDATE - The clockwork's cheap feel seemed to indicate a bigger problem. Fourth time. I tried to wear this watch, the hands did not reset. The barrel resisted pulling, I couldn't adjust it with my hands, and trying to push the stock only caused damage! I *will* not buy another Charles Hubert watch!
