Review on PET PRODUCTS Universal Cardboard Included by Erica Johnson

THEY ARE FEW! - They are designed as product specific refill packs - READ BEFORE ordering

This is NOT a cardboard scratching post that you place on the ground for your cat. No, that is not so. I'm still a little disappointed that people give this and other products one or two star reviews because they didn't read the titles or part of the description of the items before ordering them. The product is clearly identified as an EZ Window Mount Scraper: or refill packs for the mentioned EZ Window Mount Scrapers. If you look at the description at all (below the product's clear identification) they are said to be cardboard display refills, shown next to a medium sized cat in the pictures and the measurements are given as 5 x 10 inches. **These window scratching posts are ideal for cats that like to scratch vertical (vertical) surfaces, not horizontal (lying on the floor) surfaces. **These are great for cats who love to dig their claws into cardboard and rip it into small pieces. **They are great for families who love to watch their cats go crazy and scratch something they really love to scratch and that's what you want them to scratch. Our cat using this likes to scratch on cardboard the most, but it's a bit small and light compared to our two huge black cats. It was very difficult for her to understand how to stand with her hind paws on the scratching posts lying on the ground - keep them still - and how crazy she should scratch with her front paws. They move around her, rolling over and startling her, and she usually avoids them. Two other cats love this window holder/vertical scratching post, but they also love to scratch sisal, flat cardboard, and carpet ropes (standing). Our female uses this little scratching post more than any other scratching posts we have tried together. (So she refused to use it when I tried to force her to take a picture.) This product has a few flaws, but we don't really care about them and we still love it. 1) This is a single-sided cardboard "refill". If you turn it over after ruining the first side, some kind of thin "picture" piece of cardboard is glued to the back. You can't pull it off. You can pierce it with kitchen scissors, pierce in multiple places, and pull through to make over 20 "starter holes". Our cat, who loves her, will poke around on a mostly flat surface until she finds a good place for her claws in the hole and then rip them open on the other side as well. sometimes confused. The small pieces you picked will collect on the floor and could end up in the floor nozzles or the like. If you have a funny black cat or an ordinary human child who picks up something small from the ground and sees if it can be eaten, then this is not profitable. If you seriously dislike sweeping - never! - This is not the product for you. But a cat might not be your pet. :-)3) Because we installed it on a sliding glass door, if it scratches very hard, it may "knock" on the window and echo. If strange noises bother you easily, you might not need this scratching post either. It took us a while to learn to "ignore" the noise when she's going crazy over it. If one of our cats made a noise like this for years, it was serious and usually meant something was about to break. All in all, we love the EZ Mount Window Cardboard Scratcher and will continue to order supplements (when I tried to find them at local pet stores they cost at least the same, if not more, and half the time the store didn't cost in stock).
