Review on ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ SANOXY Laptop Notebook Cool Pad: Enhance Performance with Portable Cooling by Alex Britton

You get what you pay for

Reviews on this were generally correct when they said the plastic was flimsy. It is, but I'm not particularly complaining about 5.33. This will be until I find one that I really like. Also, I have a Dell laptop and it gets hottest in the left front corner. The fans were in the wrong place for me and I couldn't turn it over because the back legs are higher than the front legs. This was an easy fix, I glued two small spools of thread to the front legs. This allowed me to flip the cooler and still tilt the laptop forward. It also raised the entire cooling pad above the countertop to allow more air to circulate around the fans. The non-slip discs keep the laptop perfectly in place, you need to press hard on the laptop to make it slip on the cooling pad. The wires on the back weren't very well protected, they were exposed and I could see where they would snag and break. I used clear packing tape and attached the wires to the block. Since the fans are exposed, the user cannot use it alone on the lap. This is not a problem for me as I also have a laptop desk. I plan to use velcro to attach the cooling pad to my laptop. The cooling pad is fine if you only use it at home. I have a feeling it probably won't travel well. I like that the USB cable that connects it to the laptop has a connector, leaving the USB port free to connect other things, especially since my laptop only has three USB ports. The blue LEDs are pretty.
