The headset is ok but the packaging is WOW! Pull out the black box and the magnetic closure will open. A large instruction manual in a sleeve on top and a headset in a plastic holder that also has another cover that you have to open to get at the cables and USB stick. If only I could sit in the pits, because that would be a pretty nice imaginary car. The headset is pretty snazzy too. The second thing I noticed was the weight. A whopping 12.6 ounces. The Sony PlayStation Gold 7.1 weighs around 8 ounces while the Logitech PX3 weighs around 9 ounces. I thought I had to wear a neck brace. When comparing these three wireless headsets, the PX3 is my loudest favorite due to my already poor hearing. PX3 will be the loudest. But too much because it bothers even the deaf of me. The volume on the PlayStation Gold doesn't match the volume on the PX3, but I can still hear very well. Lucid Sound sits roughly in the middle for maximum volume. I can turn the volume down a bit from max and still hear fine. Lucid Sound is also very simple. I haven't used it for chatting yet, so I didn't plug in the boom mic either. Remember that the ports side is on the left. That way, you also don't confuse game volume and mute with chat volume, ringtones, and mute buttons. On the left ear is a power button, micro USB charging port, chat cable port, and boom microphone port. On the right is a three-level equalizer button. I currently only use Lucid Sound with Xbox One. All I had to do was plug the USB dongle and the Toslink to Xbox optical adapter cable into the dongle. If I wanted to chat, turn on the microphone on the boom and the cable from the headset to the controller. Great headset for this guy who has constant high pitched ringing in his ears.
