Now I have two pairs of Bellas. This pair has a slightly different grip stripe on the bottom of the shorts - a silicone line. The waist is also slightly different. The other pair was from REI and has a lower leg hole band, I believe without silicone (I don't have). Still, I love both couples. I just started cycling and the padding has really increased my comfort. Based on the reviews I immediately settled on Bellas and they do exactly what everyone says - the padding is in all the right places and doesn't move, the waist doesn't pinch and expose more than it should, the legs don't ride up , because there is no diaper effect with padding that makes you limp when you walk, and no "sausage bone". I didn't really realize how awful the sausage leg is until I started trying on different cycling shorts, so last quality is important. I have dress size 6-8 and the medium fits perfectly. Will all your buttock pain go away with these shorts? no Is it significantly reduced to a minimum? Yes. I've only been using it for about two months, but the durability and quality seem very high.
