Review on πŸ’» Corsair K83 Wireless Keyboard: Versatile Bluetooth & USB Connectivity for PC, Smart TV, and Streaming Box - Enhanced Backlit LED by Raymond Gray

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The wireless dongle is terrible with the touchpad.

First things first. The trackpad works like absolute garbage 5 feet from my laptop with one button. The mouse pointer jumps across the screen and two finger movements are registered only half the time, and the rest of the time the mouse pointer twitches. I realized I'm not the only one who has noticed this from reading other reviews/comments, so I doubt my device is faulty. All with the latest firmware. I find that completely unacceptable for such a high price. Strangely, the keyboard seems to work with the key inserted. No lag or missed keystrokes over a much longer distance. Nonetheless. My experience greatly improved when I switched to Bluetooth. The touchpad is responsive, but I'm pretty sure you'll lose all the macros and settings that the Corsair software offers. Precise 3/4-finger touchpad gestures also don't work. It's a real shame as I thought my quest for the perfect home theater PC controller was over. I love typing on them (hooray, full-size buttons) and the quality and feel are top-notch, although I wish all manufacturers would stop using those awful round touchpads (completely wasted space in all corners). I've emailed Corsair and will update if there is a response or if my experience changes.
