I ordered two of these cables to improve internet speed for my PlayStation and router. Based on speed tests, these cables were actually slightly slower than my Cat 5e cables that I replaced them with. I didn't really think about it, maybe I was just having a slow day on the internet or something. A week later I tried again with the same result. I lost about 20MB when uploading and on average about 2MB when uploading. I continued to use cables and still had lag issues with Hulu or "LAN cable not detected" on my PS4. I even replaced my PS4 with a PS4 Pro (for no reason) and I'm still having issues. I replaced those so-called "category 7" cables with category 6 cables from a company with a non-Chinese derived name, and now I have faster internet speeds and no more error messages. My advice: buy internet cables from a company with a reputable name and avoid Category 7 cables. None of the major network cable manufacturers actually mass-produce Cat 7, so I don't think this technology is really available to consumers. It seems that "Cat 7" is just marketing.
