Not as expected

Although they are called gloves, this is not an accurate description. There are sleeves/finger-to-toes inside that negate the warming benefits of real mittens. Gloves need to be bulky to be warm, but bulkiness makes them difficult to slip through ski or trekking pole wrist loops. Hand warmers are of little use, while a mitten provides the necessary freedom.
