I bought this to give my computer some light protection and to cover a vinyl sticker I put on the surface of my computer. I got the matte version to make it look a little better and it gave the exact look I wanted. It's lightweight, so if you're looking for really solid protection (if you drop your computer, for example), this isn't it. However, if you don't want it to be easily scratched, this is a good choice. It was a bit difficult for me to put it on, but that's probably user error. Make sure you find all the small latches/tabs and align them before attempting to snap them into the computer. The keyboard cover is good. I did not purchase this item specifically for this, just using it to look at. I don't usually like keyboard cases and this one is no different than any other I've tried. I think that's a good advantage if you're looking for a complete package.
