Review on 🖥️ Hauppauge 610 USB-Live 2 Analog Video Converter and Capture Device - Black/White by Jack Herrera

If I had written this review a few weeks ago I would have given it a maximum of three stars. The hardware is only as good as the software that lets you take advantage of the analog recording capabilities, and WinTV 7 just isn't up to scratch. However, I installed Windows 10 on my computer and downloaded and installed the WinTV software again - me I'm in the process of digitizing all my home videos - and was surprised to see that the Hauppage download page for the 610 USB-Live 2 has a new version compatible with Windows 10. I went through the installation (which was painless but required the original CD in the drive) and downloaded the new application. The design is much more modern and cleaner, but that's just the icing on the awesome improvements they've made in streaming/recording my composite video. WinTV 7 was a drag, but version 8 just works and I can use it without frustration. Now this device combined with its updated software deserves 5 stars as I am happily able to digitize priceless family memories just as I was hoping to do when I originally purchased this product.
