I have been using an Otter box for over a decade. Every phone (I'm an Android user) and iPod (I don't trust Apple batteries enough to switch to an iPhone) has Otterboxes. And I can't help but notice that the quality, namely the strength of the plastic used in the frame, has decreased in recent years. Like most consumer products sold in America, Otterboxes have become more fragile and require fewer materials for the same or higher price. The previous Otterbox has lasted over four years and three different iPod touch (6th generation) due to my own clumsiness. . I recently bought a second case for my iPod touch (7th generation) because the bezel was cracked. If the downward trend in quality continues, the future does not look bright.
