I bought these bulbs for a 2003 Ford F250. My headlights were dim and I knew I could get something brighter. When I pulled the bulbs out of the truck, there were manufacturing dates on them telling me they were original to the truck. After a little research I decided on these lamps. I received them quickly. They were pretty easy to install in minutes. After installation I turned on the light and found it was much whiter and seemed brighter. When I turned on the low beam and turned on the high beam, the low beam switched to high beam with high beam. When I switched to high beam, they switched to high beam and the high beam headlights went out. The reason for buying the lamps was more light. If I couldn't use high beam, what would be the point? After further research I found that I probably need resistors to get the light to work properly. I quickly ordered Sealight resistors from Revain and contacted the company. The company got back to me quickly and sent me the resistors I needed free of charge. Resistances from Sealight and Revain arrived on the same day. I am satisfied with the lamp, I will order more. Sealight customer service was amazed at how quickly my issue was resolved at no cost to me. As for the installed lamps. They are plug and play. You have enough cables to connect. I would recommend cutting where the wire is on the plastic collar of the lock to avoid bending the wire at an angle. When installing resistors, be sure to mount them away from anything that could melt or be damaged by heat. They get HOT.
