Review on Logitech MK750 Wireless Keyboard Marathon by John Love

Great everyday mouse and keyboard

A few years ago I bought a Logictech Marathon on a whim because my work mouse had a very loose wheel. At the time this was a pretty tough decision as it was a $40 mouse for the job. But it was wireless and the battery lasted 3 years, so why not? In the end I liked the mouse. A year later I had similar issues with my work keyboard and decided to get a new keyboard and ended up with the K750 solar keyboard. I was concerned about lighting issues, but it wasn't a problem for my office. So this combination? Considering that I loved the mouse and keyboard so much and had so few issues with them, I decided to buy these, which turned out to be a bit cheaper than I could find individually. Here are my experiences with these items so far. Mouse: The 3 year battery life is probably overpriced, although I'm not sure how they came up with that number. My original mouse lasted about 18 months on the batteries that came with it. I haven't had any issues with the mouse, although I did notice that the new scroll wheel is wobbly, so moving the mouse around a lot sometimes unintentionally scrolls up or down what I'm working on. The lock button solves that problem, but I don't like having to toggle the lock on and off all the time. Keyboard: The keyboard works pretty well. It's a fairly standard chiclet-style keyboard, although it does have some laptop-style function keys. It feels like a laptop keyboard with an overall short travel. However, I find it a bit more comfortable than real laptops. The keyboard is comfortable and quiet to use, which I think my office colleagues will appreciate. The only issue I had with this keyboard was when the backspace key broke. This happened a year after purchasing the keyboard. I contacted Logitech and asked for a new key (since I was still under warranty) and instead of sending me a keycap they ended up sending me a brand new keyboard. I had to leave behind a broken keyboard that worked great as I was able to buy a new keycap on ebay for about $3. I had no problems with the battery life. My office was next to a tinted window, where we mostly turned off the light. Now I'm in a booth with only neon lights and both zones are working fine. The new keyboard sits in a much darker corner and seems to charge enough during the day to work at night. Note: The CapsLock, Numlock, and Scroll Lock keys do not have LEDs, so it can be difficult to tell if they are on. Conclusion: I can definitely recommend this combination. I would only be concerned about the keyboard if I was working in a very dark place. In terms of performance, I think this works great as a keyboard and mouse for office space. I've played a few games at home with this keyboard and mouse and would recommend it, but I know the community can be pretty picky. So if you're really concerned about response time, you might want to look at other mice and keyboards. . I would say there are no issues with quieter games or less competitive players.
