These lights are good for mounting 10mm LED strips. Be sure to measure the width of the LED strips with a micrometer or check the specs to ensure you are ordering the correct clamp gauge. As long as you pair 10mm fasteners with this 10mm clip, it will fit perfectly. really uncomfortable noticeable. They don't work very well in drywall. The screws are not long enough to go through and hit the bolt. So when the screws are screwed into the drywall they just pulverize the drywall and there is nothing for the screw threads to catch on. I was able to get my clamps to work with drywall with just a few modifications to the inner hole in the drywall. These screws are best for wood. I haven't tried the screws on metal, but looking at the material of the screw I can tell you that if you're going to use it on metal, the hole will probably need to be pre-drilled. After using them on 32ft LED strips I had plenty left over. I think if they had a slightly longer screw and some drywall anchors these clamps would be much more versatile and easier to use.
