I really wanted to love this soap. I bought a similar soap from another company but decided to try this one because it's more eco-friendly. I have everything read the rave reviews and was hoping this might be my new holy grail, I have really bad eczema especially in the cold months and with so many people leaving reviews of this soap helping their dry skin I had high hopes .I read the review that said This soap has an overwhelming lavender scent but I really love lavender and look forward to smelling it from a natural source.The soap is very gentle.I still need heavy moisturizing and a steroid cream use on my problem areas but my flare ups have absolutely decreased since using this soap mei Only problem is the soap smells TERRIBLE. And not lavender. It's hard to describe the exact smell, the best I can think of is that it's kinda like St a lot of used vegetable oil. I can't tell the difference between lavender at all and thought that maybe the bars I got were just a little musty and that the old musty smell might dissipate or take a while, but it didn't, so I gave it a try with another bolt to see if only one had failed and the second might be worse. I have to hold my breath while lathering up and try to hurry because the smell makes my stomach churn. The soap isn't cheap so I'm very disappointed and don't want to throw it all away but I might just have to. But it's really a shame. I can't imagine this product would have as many good reviews if everyone was using the same product as me, so I'm guessing it's just a bad batch or maybe this box was damaged in transit or something but make up for it if it's too expensive risk it again unless it was an accident, so back to my tried and true soap, even if its formula isn't as moisturizing. I just can't deal with the smell of warm garbage in my shower every day.
