This review is for the 1 mile camera. I've only used this at 300 yards so far but will be using both 600 and 1000 and will update this review once I do. one with a camera). I'm filming a fun match that the cameras will allow. During today's game, the receiver stopped picking up the transmitter. It worked again as soon as I turned the transmitter off and on again, but that's when the real problems started. A big issue that came up with every multi-user match was the receivers picking up the wrong camera, and that's exactly what happened to me. So, even when connected to your receiver, you can capture someone else's camera/target. To fix this, I turned my transmitter off and on again during the target change. This seemed to fix everything, but my receiver started picking up someone else's transmitter/target. I turned the receiver off and on again and it picked up someone else's transmitter. This was the first time I've used this in a game but for others it's been an issue in all 4 games this season. I'm not sure if there's a way to connect directly to the transmitter like Caldwell did. I also have a Caldwell and even at 600 yards I don't need to use the receiver. The WiFi transmitter is so good. The SME's camera resolution is very good and the software works as advertised - the reason I bought it. The Caldwell software doesn't have the same functionality (or none at all) and the camera isn't as sharp. With Caldwell, holes in a black target are very difficult if not impossible to see with a camera, so I use reactive targets. As a side note - the SME app was automatically updated between last weekend and today - I had no idea. The new app is good, but it took a few minutes to get to know it. The camera is easy to set up, just like the target in the app. If it works at 600 yards it helps on practice days so we don't need a puller. Same goes for 1000. Time will tell. Update March 16: At 300 yards I was able to connect my phone directly to the camera's transmitter. I didn't have to use the receiver. This helped solve an issue where multiple cameras in use were recording from the wrong receiver. I've also used it at 600 yards and had no signal issues. (I REALLY needed a 600 receiver). One more comment - I don't have a working tablet so I'm using my Android phone. This works well, but I will say that with a 600 yard target, it was difficult to zoom out (when I was aiming) so you can see a blinking new hole in the black. After zeroing and zooming out to the 9th ring, there are no problems. It's a combination of a small phone, poor lighting and not very good visibility. I'm very happy with the purchase and would have given it 4 stars if it wasn't for the issue that the receivers don't work well when using multiple cameras. Update 05/04/2020 Used yesterday at 1000 yards and got a signal with no problems Update 04/11/2020 Used outdoors in the rain for several hours. A lot of water got in, but he kept working. I took it apart to drain the water completely and let it dry. Seems still working.
