The strap itself is well made and looks good. My son was happy when he got it for the first time. It was a bit big for him (a skinny 9 year old) but he didn't mind being tall and loose. However, the metal clasp broke pretty quickly. The first time he was home and I was able to fix it. It's mounted on a pin (it's like a toilet paper holder rod - the ends move in and out on a spring). So I was able to fix it very easily. The second time he ran in the field was at school. We couldn't find this fastener in the grass. We're just glad he found the bracelet and tracker! We're back to sliding bracelets again. Eventually they break when you expand them, when you put them on and take them off your wrist. But at least there's no metal bracket to break. And overhead harnesses are cheap, so we can buy a few and have them on hand in case one breaks.
