Device connected and everything worked, Xbox image appeared on the screen. Then I left it alone for 4 days - when the kids turned on the xbox, there was no image on the screen, I had to turn the HDMI box off and on again - and while they're playing Tetris, the screen keeps turning off and spinning only turn the HDMI box on and off. fixes this for a few minutes - I was expecting better, especially for the price.
