I have many back problems, a broken neck and have had multiple cervical spine surgeries which have left my neck extremely restricted in movement. This mirror was amazing, more than helpful and made driving a lot less stressful. It also makes me feel much more comfortable when driving/manoeuvring in traffic. I've mostly used semi-circular side mirrors, which helped a little, but didn't even come close to the usefulness of an elongated convex rearview mirror. I've been using this and side globes for years, after all they both work best together. With this rear view alone, I can usually see all my blind spots without any problems and much more, which can be visualized in the extended field of vision. I ordered it for my mum as she can get a bit nervous at times trying to change lanes in heavy traffic. Some other reviewers have mentioned that the convex curve is difficult to get used to, try while sitting at a stop light. Identify the vehicle in the mirror, turn around to look straight ahead, then back and forth a few times, then switch to another vehicle. This will help you get used to the distance/depth of view. At first, my mom had a little trouble with the mirror, but after I encouraged her to practice, it helped her better understand what she was seeing and where it really was.
