This thin duvet is warmer than a sheet but weighs a little more. It's good for summer because it's so light it's easy to walk on even while you sleep. I don't like how easy it is to catch, mine already looks pretty bad with the cat on the bed. I also don't like that it has to be hung dry, it's really difficult unless you have an old-fashioned outdoor clothesline. I don't know, that's why it took a few days to dry, there would be problems in winter, but I wouldn't use this blanket in winter. All in all it's fine, but there are probably a million other lightweight duvets to choose from. If I ever buy another one I will make sure it is machine washable and tumble dry safe.
