Took this on a 10 day trip and use it every day now. Don't use the mesh side pockets for anything unless you want to lose them. I lost a small water bottle. insect repellent. Case for glasses. Really cheap slide in suitcase. After that I found out that nothing had happened there. I wasn't in the pickpocketing area (hiking) so they just fell out and I didn't notice. For transportation, the bag will be folded heavily, which will cause problems with the zipper at the bend. I haven't entrusted my laptop there yet because the zipper has already come undone. It wasn't even fully packed. I managed to get it working again. A gloved heat gun will help smooth out the curvature of the zipper. There are many compartments, but many of them cannot hold items thicker than 1.5 inches. (Not to mention the large compartment) The mesh back works great in the 35 degree summer heat when hiking. I used a sunglass strap and it worked great. Would like an adjustable chest strap. I made my own which greatly improved the hiking. I didn't have to constantly adjust the straps. The material inside started to stretch a bit and showed signs of wear from lifting the handle. The same goes for the battery compartment on my 26800. Aside from my iPad, blood pressure monitor and cuff, these are the heaviest things I carry around in my opinion. The unit also once had a false positive for explosives at the airport, but it has passed on all other occasions. I do not have a clue of it. It fits under an airplane seat if it's not too crowded. I'm not at the stage where I feel the need for a replacement yet, but I suspect it will be before the warranty expires. I think that with some quality improvements this would be excellent value.
