I ordered this tray to make it easier for me to move around the house without having to put my laptop on my feet or on some pillows. That helps a lot. The adjustable height allowed me to work from a porch chair, sofa, and bed. Haven't found a need for the tilt feature yet, but I'm sure it has its benefits. The wide surface fits a small laptop to the right of my laptop and really helps with typing and working in a more mobile way.
