This is my first time buying shoes online myself. Initially I was worried if I would be a good fit as I don't like sending things back and wasting time and effort on shipping. I was curious about the Rockport brand as I have always used Clark or Bass as they are more readily available in local stores. The shoes delivered are of very good quality. The shoe's upper is likely similar to Clark's. I can say about the durability in a year or two, it's too early now. The bottom of the shoe seems to have slightly better mechanical properties, but I find it difficult to point my finger at it. I think I bought a little too big, or maybe the right length, but a little too wide. But after about a week of wearing my feet get used to it and I don't notice it anymore. I wear them to work all day. I don't walk much at work. however, only about five thousand steps a day. Also, I use the extra insoles and immediately swapped them into these new shoes. So I can't say much about the original liners that came with the shoe. It's winter now and the grip on ice is normal, but I didn't expect miracles as they aren't advertised as having high slip resistance.
