I have been living abroad in Asia for 11 years and the notion that technology in Asia is advanced is a misconception. DEVICES at the highest level. The SOFTWARE is not up to date, particularly as far as the user interface is concerned. That's why Asian phones use Android (Google's American product). This printer is pretty much the same. Excellent print quality, especially for the price. The physical equipment is excellent. The only limitation is the keyboard and its digital screen. A lot more could have been done with it, eg more options for controlling the printer, WLAN setup etc. This keyboard doesn't do much. Instead, you have to rely on a terrible app and rely on your computer installing it properly and hoping you can access the settings you want (much harder on a Mac). se because the software is not very good) on Windows. It's much more difficult on a Mac. The download links were dead ends at first. Some weird Chinese sites didn't work and they were only for Android, not iOS App Store. The Windows software worked reasonably well, but it didn't set up the WiFi properly at first. Had to run it a few times. Trying to connect the app (both iOS and Android) to the printer also took a few tries. My biggest problem was trying to enable duplex (two-sided) printing from a Mac. I find Windows easier. In any case, I don't think the printer does it automatically. You have to turn the pages and run them through the printer again to get a print on the back. It's not detailed anywhere so I'll just let you know. However good value for money. I chose a cheap laser printer because my parents don't print that often and they keep ruining printers. Many dried printheads. To solve this problem I decided to use a laser printer and considering their use I think this is the bill and the right price. Additional note: All documentation in English is not very good. Apparently people translated it into English as a second language. I was on the phone with tech support and their english wasn't very good either (I guess it was outsourced to India) and the connection was horrible it either kept dropping or kept dropping out. Aggravating. When I emailed tech support they solved my problem but it wasn't perfect and again the english was suspicious. Just a note. Oh and on my first order the cartridge didn't work so I had to return the whole printer and order a new one.
