When I received this item I was pleasantly surprised to notice the deep purple hue of the duvet. The photo doesn't convey this, you have to see the person. A very nice blanket. You will not be disappointed with this purchase. Just don't assume it's silk and it's not. The underside of the blanket is soft and very warm. I love the fact that the gold dragons on the comforter are actually embroidered with thread and not printed. I would definitely buy it again as it suits my samurai style bedroom.
