Some contractors used muriatic acid to clean grout that had faded after application in a new home. Hydrochloric acid fumes discolor stainless steel, bronze, etc. . The sink looked like it needed replacing and all of our oiled bronze doorknobs were tarnished. This happened even with the doors and windows open for ventilation. After a brief panic, I went online and found a video of a guy using Perfect Sink for exactly this reason. I followed his instructions and the sink was saved although it needs some work and there is a small hole in the sink but the dark stains are gone. Simply wiping down the doorknobs with a perfect sink effortlessly solved the cloudiness problem. Great product that I highly recommend!
