I took a chance on using these little sponges for my facial cleanser because I just can't think of just cleaning my face with my hands. They arrived in a bag containing four individual bags separated by color. It takes about 10 seconds for each sponge to expand. When wet, it has a much larger girth than many of the competitors I reviewed before choosing this product. It mostly retains its size after drying, but becomes stiffer. The sponge is much smoother and softer than I wanted and I think it's better for applying lotions or creams or removing makeup as any solution applied to it seems to stay on its surface rather than being absorbed . I needed them to be sudsy and soapy and they don't do it too well, but for the amount you get and for the price, I'd recommend them, but I don't know what I would personally buy back if considering what I am, look for something with a coarser texture for easy exfoliation.
