I bought this tablet stand about 6 months ago to use exclusively with the Kindle Fire 8.9. He was handled very gently, moved a few feet once or twice a week. The level was adjusted at most daily, if at all. After six months of this use, I can no longer fix my arm at any height. The clip that holds, rotates and tilts your device works even with heavy use. Question: How long will it take? In general, I was delighted with this stand. This allowed me to read or play Kindle games while sitting in my chair or lying on the couch. I had a cervical fusion, so placing the Kindle next to my eyes prevents severe neck pain and muscle spasms. If the manufacturer can make this tablet holder more durable, I would happily rate it much higher. ETA: I informed the seller about the problem with the hardware and he sent replacement parts which were delivered to me within 36 hours. As a result, the rating went up.
