I've never seen an Android tablet with multiple USB ports or a mini HDMI port until I came across the Tango Tab XL. It's bigger too, which makes it even worse that they didn't give this product a Full HD 1080p display. The keyboard with trackpad kind of saves the day and prevents it from becoming a total failure. It can serve as a quasi-laptop replacement, but Mediatek's underperforming quad-core processor isn't up to the task of a full-fledged laptop. There are other issues as well, like the fact that you can't charge it via the micro USB port, you're stuck with a proprietary connector. And this thing is incredibly SLOW when charging, I mean you'd better plan for it to run all night (6-8 hours) when plugged into a 2.4 amp (12w) charger. The keyboard is as good as it gets for $200. Chromebook, and the trackpad is fine too. The app uses pens to connect to the tablet, so no pairing or charging of the keyboard case is required. The overall appearance of the case is nice, it has a kickstand that allows you to tilt the screen to different angles for a better view. The screen isn't bad, it's a decent quality IPS tablet screen, just a little less pixels per inch. 1366x768 is a resolution, it's a step up from 720p, you'll find it on a lot of cheap laptops ($200-$400), it's a WXGA resolution option. You get a pretty standard version of Android 10, and it's Google Play Protect certified. It simply means that the build of Android on this tablet is official and legal, sometimes it isn't and it causes problems with many applications. Simbans is an Android OEM that I'm not familiar with and I can't tell how well they will provide updates. This tablet is currently a full 12 months late due to the June 5, 2020 security patch on my model. The question is whether this will receive Android 11 or any security patches. Their website is a bit minimalist and doesn't mention anything on it like a page linking to updates or a promise to update within X time. The Mediatek 8168B has 4 ARM Cortex A53 cores that can run from 850MHz to 2GHz. with 4 gigabytes of LPDDR4 RAM. The GPU is ARM Mali-G52 MC2. The tablet has GPS and an accelerometer, but no ambient light sensor to automatically adjust the screen brightness. Performance is underpowered here, but not unusually slow or weak given that some tablets at this price point come with an octa-core processor. This effectively doubles the performance (since they're the same type as the A53/A55 cores), but honestly it won't make much of a difference. The only thing that sets this device apart is the physical connection via a full-size USB-A port and a mini-HDMI port. I don't know how much more useful this makes the device, it saves you having to buy an adapter. And most tablets in this price range don't have video output via USB-C or Micro-USB ports, and the adapter won't change that. So if you're looking for a cheap tablet that can connect to external monitors or TVs, this is a wired connection option. Some tablets support Miracast or Google Screen Casting, but they're never as good or reliable as a physical HDMI cable. The closest you'll come to that is with a Chromebook, which wouldn't be as portable due to the attached keyboard. Pros + A keyboard case comes with a decent keyboard and trackpad that doesn't need to be charged. Full size USB. Mini HDMI port/port for much better compatibility with external displays and USB devices such as thumb drives and SSDs. Large screen 11.6 inches. 64 GB memory expandable with micro SD card. Charging via micro USB port. No Widevine Level 1 (so you can't stream above 480p from apps like Netflix or Hulu). For 200β¬ there are better alternatives.
