I haven't had it that long but given the use of it I think it will last. I have installed many cheap ones and this one feels different. It includes a vinyl thread tape. I checked the filter changing procedure, it's quick and easy. My skin didn't have the usual itching or slimy feeling from the water softener. I doubt it filters anything other than chlorine. If so, it will slow to drop. As for the streams, the width is decent. It extends slightly further than the head (which is larger than it appears in the picture) with decent pressure. We left the regulator because we have a lot of pressure. The tight setting stays quite tight. You can also switch on both, but the pressure drops too much for my taste. Maybe it would be ok without the regulator. For me, two options are ideal: either the shampoo should be washed off, and neither is strong enough to sting.
