So I used the previous model for years and it was great. I've become an expert at programming and great little modules for all kinds of projects. This new Wi-Fi was very easy to set up. This is good for different projects because if you need to reprogram the device, you don't have to take everything apart. Just turn on the Wi-Fi mode and change the time or program in seconds. This is a game changer if you expect to have to change settings frequently. It also still has the same power saving mode as previous devices, so I think it's a win, a few extra bucks well spent. This unit will be in my bass boat to ensure I don't accidentally leave lights and other accessories on and drain my battery. I expect it will survive the heat and weather like other devices, just need to test it.
