About two years ago I bought a cheap laptop. It works great for my needs. I started looking at the docking station. My laptop has a USB-C port, but I've read online that it's very limited and won't work with a docking station. Further investigations have confirmed this. So the standard USB-C dock was missing. My husband has a WAVLINK USB-C docking station for his laptop and is very happy with it. I stumbled across this model and decided to give it a try. He works like a champ. I went to the WAVLINK website and downloaded the software for this model. Installed software. Docking station connected and everything worked. I normally expect to use this with just one external monitor, but I hooked up two as a test. There is an HDMI port and a DVI port - you can use both at the same time. A few minutes later my laptop was in the middle and the monitors were on the sides. I also connected to our home network via a wired connection through the dock and tried to connect a few USB devices. Everything works, it does its job. Easy setup. Exactly what I was looking for.
