I was looking for a solution to amplify audio from a 3.5mm 4K PC monitor output to my powered studio monitors (speakers) with RCA jacks without adjusting the volume on each speaker separately have to. I ordered this little guy and it worked. It amplifies the output from my computer monitor to my studio monitors (speakers) with ease while sitting at my desk. The sound is very clear with no coloration, hum/hum/HF or distortion. There's a lot of headroom. This guy at 11-12 is getting so loud I have to turn down the speakers. Watch out for up to 45% of full volume on my speakers or amplifiers. Very very impressive and shocked as I had ordered the preamp from Revain before but sent it back on the first day of delivery as it did very little to bring the volume up to an acceptable level. The leveling knob feels very solid and durable, as does the box. he enters. It's very easy to use. Turning the volume knob counter-clockwise turns the set-top box off and on in the opposite direction, and also increases the volume. So you don't have to reach for the attachment to flip the switch. The attachment also stays cool for up to three hours. Highly recommended when trying to boost the level between the RCA line device and the amplifier. I am very grateful that I found this device.
