The product works exactly as I need it to. When I want to use my phone hands-free, I just attach it to the holder. Other mounts I've had require 2 hands to attach and remove. The mount has a magnet strong enough to hold my Samsung Galaxy 4 in the Otter Box Defender case. I put the metal plate that comes with the mount (comes with 3 metal plates) into the rubber case and it holds my phone perfectly. It probably won't hold an iPad and probably won't hold an iPad mini. I haven't experienced any interference with my GPS with the magnetic mount I've seen comments about. I also bought one for my wife and brother and they love it as much as I do. The only issue you have to worry about is that it connects to a CD player that you would put a CD in. Do not overtighten the bracket. The plastic can tear. Also, do not leave it attached for long periods of time or when your car is parked outside in the heat. The plastic of the CD player may warp or crack. You can play a CD when the holder is attached, but you cannot eject or insert a CD without first removing the holder. It may cost a little more than others, but this thing is well built and looks like it will last. I highly recommend it.
