I was skeptical at first but needed water shoes for our California vacation and the beach, legoland and zoo. I looked around and found this. can also be used as hiking shoes. They are very light and have holes at the bottom, the sides are of course made of mesh. My feet are still a bit sweaty but they fit true to size. They are very versatile and dry quickly. .Maybe 15 minutes in the sun and they dry out. They don't hold as much sand which is good unlike other water shoes and they got heavy. I wear a size 6 and bought a size 6. and they are true to size. Holds my feet well whether wet or dry. I had no problem using them at the beach and walking around Legoland and the San Diego Zoo all day. When we got home I put them in the washer and dryer and they held up really well. The next day I used it in another park. I didn't even have calluses and they complement my feet so well.
