I got this watch from a colleague's boarding house. He showed up with a taped box and a case that looked very rough. The display box slides out of the case sideways and is a pressed cardboard. So when I tried to remove the tape, it peeled off the outer black layer, leaving the display box looking as torn as the case. NOT what you need for a retirement gift given to someone. After cutting the tape to get the box with the display, it turned out that the watch had been standing for a very long time. Is the clock battery dead? (without moving the second hand). It is listed as an analog watch and may need to be wound if it does not have an automatic winding function. There was no literature or product information on how to wind and set the watch in the box. So I honestly don't know if I'm dead or not. The clasp had scratches from touching the bottom of the box, even from the protective plastic on the clasp. I considered this a DOA as while the watch itself was physically beautiful, everything else about it was very poor. To be honest it looks like this one has been sitting on a shelf for several years and was only recently found and shipped. RETURNED.
